Marie Zahrádková (*1987)

She studied organ and piano at the Music Conservatory in České Budějovice (Budweis) and continued her studies at the Academy of the Performing Arts in Prague with Jaroslav Tůma. She is doing her postgradual studies in Konzertexamen at Staatliche Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Stuttgart – organ with prof. Jürgen Essla and 2nd main specialization harpsichord with prof. Jörg Halubka (since 2014). She won the 1st prices at the Internation Organ Competition Joseph-Gabler Orgelwettbewerb (2012) and at the Improvisation Competition Lions Club Musik-Wettbewerb (2014) in Stuttgart.

She gained Honorable Mention at the International Prague Spring Festival. She won the 1st prize at the competition of Bohuslav Martinů Foundation for the best performance of the works by Bohuslav Martinů in 2016 (harpsichord). She has participated at many interpretation courses. She has regularly concerts in the Czech Republic, Germany, Italy and France. She also improvises to films and cooperates with such orchestras as FOK, BERG, ConcertemKöln and SWR2.

She worked as an organist in 4 churches in Stuttgart, cooperated with many choirs and dealt with Gregorian chant in České Budějovice for 5 years. She is an organist at Svatá Hora (since 2017) and also works as an organ teacher at the Music Conservatory in České Budějovice.
